A divinely inspired call began a path to serve the neediest of our society, children who have been abandon, abused and neglected. Disenfranchised children suffer with few positive reinforcements or methods for coping. “Typically, children will not disclose past hurts or abuse due to "fear and shame," states Dr. Alyomar Clinical Psychologist, who visits with hundreds of adjudicated dependent children each month. “Their unwillingness to divulge past events prevents them from healing.” This can result in a maladaptive affect of mental, emotional, spiritual and eventually physical shutdown. Trauma is very difficult to deal with as an adult and even more so as a child. An individual must consciously recognize hurt to move past hurt.
Over the past nine years we have diligently worked with families and children to overcome behavioral issues dues to trauma and stress. Traumatic events and stressors can be overcome when addressed in a positive, non-judgmental, and healing environment. This is what Equine Assisted Therapy (EAT) provides. Unlike traditional "closed door" therapy sessions, EAT takes place outdoors in the beauty and splendor of nature. A safe, caring, non-threatening environment filled with love is our office. Everyone who comes in commune with a horse receives a sense of awe and wonder. Perfect by nature a horse does not judge, ask or tell, it simply lives in and for each moment of life’s perfect attrition. The gentle majestic relationship between man and horse has revealed its nature throughout the ages, so that man and horse commune intuitively in divine harmony.
Equine Assisted Therapeutic milieus have been successful for many decades. Witnessing continual successes and positive results has provided us with an overwhelming truth about the efficacy of EAT. We help children conquer fears, obstacles, and objections by bringing each child nearer to God’s perfection.
